Update:The issue with the monitors constantly losing their settings when I reboot/undock, etc... has worked itself out. I've had two MacOS updates since I got the dock, so maybe one of those fixed it. +1 star.Ivanky customer support reached out to me almost immediately after my review. They made multiple offers of either a full refund or a replacement, and sent me a replacement (the monitor issue had worked itself out before the replacement arrived). They have been fabulous to deal with. +1 star.Original Review:This dock replaced my Satechi dock, which only supported two monitors, and whose network port was super flaky and constantly disconnecting.This dock works well. All of the ports / functionality have been solid, and I haven't had any hardware issues yet. It's great to be able to plug all 4 monitors into the dock. The network port has been rock-solid, and the dock has no disconnection issues. The USB-C ports connected to a 4TB SSD have great copy speeds.Like other's have said this item runs pretty warm 100% of the time. Given that, I'm not expecting a long lifetime from this device. Hopefully their support is good.The only technical issue I have is that every time I reboot my M1 Macbook or disconnect it from the dock I have to re-setup the monitors in the display settings panel as the computer seems to forget which monitor is which, even when they don't get unplugged. I didn't have this issue when the monitors were plugged directly in to the laptop. I am also making sure the cables go back into the same ports with the same side of the cable facing up (I assume this is why they include the funky cable, since moving the cables around was the issue I had in the past with the monitors getting mixed up).This item is expensive for what it does. I bought my own Thunderbolt 4 cables because of the issues people reported with the included cable, which added even more expense. However, it has worked extremely well so far, other than the monitor 'forgetting' issue. I'm hoping a Mac OS update may fix that.So, overall, a good piece of hardware that runs too hot and will likely have a shorter lifetime than it should (-1 star) and whose only technical issues seems to be not correctly reporting the same monitor IDs each time so you have to resetup your desktop layout each time you reboot/redock (-1 star).

Great TB breakout box - a must for MacBook Pro users
I’ve used 2 or 3 different TB breakout boxes… and for the most part, they were all pretty good. But this one definitely stands out. And both performance and reliability. On many of the other boxes, I would have momentary lapses where there might be a glitch in the output or in the thunderbolt connection… very brief and wouldn’t happen too often, but it did happen. And again, these were good boxes. But this one is different. It never has freak outs or bad glitch moments. It’s bulletproof and rock solid. Can’t see enough good things about it. If you’re a media professional using a MacBook Pro, then strongly consider getting this box because it will change the way you work.

With this review I just want to share with you guys my personal experience in the purchase of an iVANKY FusionDock Max 1, and I'm not going to focus on the device itself, instead I'm going to be talking about Ivanky customer service, because unfortunately the dock that I bought gave me so much problems just out of the box, both to connect my two 27-inch 4K monitors, as well as with my other devices connected to the other ports.So after making all the port changes in search of a solution, I decided to contact Ivanky's customer service department, and from that moment on, I could verify that both the company policies, and the people who are dedicated to executing those policies, are exceptional, because I had the privilege of being attended by one their representatives whose name is Melody, and she did a spectacular job to solve my problem, because she's unique, she's wonderful, and her customer service is out of this world.Imagine that the following day after contacting Ivanky, Melody answered me with a lot of respect, worried about my problem with the dock, willing to do everything in her power to solve it, and guaranteeing me that if for some reason she couldn't correct the problem of my dock, she would gladly replace it with another dock, or she would give me a full refund of my money.So after three or four days of communicating via email with Melody, in order to do the respective tests in order to solve the problems with the dock, she told me that the best thing would be to replace my damage dock with a better version that Ivanky is willing to give me free of charge.And I want to share with you guys that the way Melody handled my problem during those three or four days was very professional, she masters the subject with admirable expertise, she was very patient with me responding to my concerns with class, she was very attentive to the emails that I sent her, and not only did she take the time to read them and analyze them carefully in order to understand them, but she also responded promptly in such an orderly way, that it is a pleasure to sit down to read her emails and continue with the process in search of the solution.Honestly Melody will remain in my heart forever as a person who gives an EXCELLENT customer service, of which I will speak with a lot of emotion and joy when I'm presented with the opportunity to share with others, in those conversations where the theme is fantastic customer service experiences, because she simply stands out as a STAR in the midst of thousands and millions of people who work providing a mediocre customer service.Ivanky is extremely privileged to have Melody's services, and I hope they know how to value her, because in regard to my wife and I, we are very happy and satisfied to have been taken care of by her. Great job, Melody.SECOND PART - MANY WEEKS LATERToday I want to take the opportunity to share with you guys that I recently had a bad experience with the purchase of Ivanky FusionDock Max 1, which coming out of the box began to give me problems in the HDMI ports when I connected two 4K monitors, it also gave me problems in the USB ports when I connected two external hard disks, it also gave me many problems with the USB-C ports when I connected two Facecam Pro 4K, it also gave me problems with the 3.5 audio port, and that's why the microphone did not work, among many other problems...However, after contacting Ivanky's Customer Service department, one of the representatives whose name is Melody, attended me with class, excellence, professionalism, quality, respect, empathy, and with a desire to solve my problem with urgency, to the extent that after corroborating that the item was indeed damaged, she gladly offered me a total refund of the amount paid, or the replacement of the equipment with a new one, but with the difference, that this new equipment would be a better and more powerful version than the one I had bought, and that is without me having to pay any additional cost, oh yes, it's just as you are reading it...Really, since I received this new equipment, the story has been completely different, because now I can connect my monitors, my external hard drives, my Facecam Pro 4K, and all my other devices, and they are all working perfectly and simultaneously.This dock is wonderful, it's just amazingly powerful, and I don't regret that I bought it because it's definitely solving all my connectivity needs, when it comes to using my MacBook Pro M3.Finally I have to mention, that due to the fact that I'm living in another country that is very far from the United States, the issue of shipments is an issue to consider, however, Melody offered me the possibility of sending me the new dock first, without even waiting for me to return the defective dock, so at this moment while I write this comment, I have in my hands both items, the new dock, connected and working, and the old dock, disconnected and packed, waiting to be sent back to the United States, and even in that detail, the return of the damaged dock, Melody has been extremely understandable with me, by giving me enough time to make the return at my lowest possible cost.Thanks to Ivanky for this tremendous piece of equipment for my MacBook Pro M3, and thanks to Melody for managing and coordinating all the details to make my experience so wonderful and so spectacular.
