SwitchBot Blind Tilt Motorized Blinds - Smart Electric Blinds with Bluetooth Remote Control, Solar Powered, Light Sensing Control, Add Hub to Work with Alexa & Google Home

I’ve had this fitted for a couple of years now and I really can’t fault it.It was easy to install and connects reliably to Alexa and my smartphone via with SwitchBot bridge (works fine with the cheaper bridge if you don’t want the extra features including temperature sensor). The blind can also be operated remotely when away from home and included in Amazon Alexa routines, to give the appearance someone is at home when the house is empty.I set the unit up with the included solar panel, and have not had to plug the unit in to the mains to recharge it one, even in the winter. However, I only open and close the blind once most days, so if you have it on a blind that gets a lot of use, then you may find it needs the occasional charge from the mains too.As a disabled person, this helps me with something I would be unable to do otherwise, so I’m pleased that an inexpensive and easy to fit bit of kit is available.I intend to buy more of these when I have more blinds fitted around the house. V impressed.

Bought it close to 2 y now and I haven’t charged it once. I own 2 of the tilt blind and 4 Curtain2 and 2 of Curtain3, and with the bridge the scheduling works like a charm.Switchbot does quality products at a decent price.Can’t recommend enough.

I got this in the Black Friday sale as I wasn't going to be paying full price for as it as I personally feel it's priced way too high.I got it late in the year so because it's dark and dull with little sunlight, the solar panel wasn't getting enough charge. I will hook it up again when it's more sunny out so I can take advantage of the solar charging option.It's handy being able to open the blinds just a little to let the light in, but still have some degree of privacy too. My kitchen is small and getting to the window to open the blinds is awkward, that's why I got this to make it easier to open them each day. While you can use the app to open and close the blinds and set a schedule too, which is great. I did end up getting a mini hub as I use Alexa/Echo devices in my home.When I first got this, I couldn't use it as my blinds were too close the wallframe of my window. Once I eventually moved the blinds closer to the window, I was able to fit it.The only annoying thing is that the window stick to twist the blinds open and closed keeps moving diagonally, I move it back and it happens again. I can't do much as there is very little space available to make changes.But I am happy with the functionality and sturdiness too. The video was a bit confusing to watch and I nearly threw away I vital part. But I got there in the end.

I’ve had these blind tilt motors installed in my bedroom for over a year, and they’ve performed exceptionally well. The battery life is impressive—typically lasting between four and five months—and I’ve configured them to adjust with the sunrise, which they usually handle without a hitch.I’m planning to buy more soon to automate the rest of the house. Setting them up was quick and straightforward, and once they’re running, you barely have to think about them. They’re quiet, dependable, and blend seamlessly into your daily routine. The only minor drawback is that the automations occasionally need a manual adjustment to work as expected.

This product is amazing, so easy to fit and works perfectly on my vertical blind, I don't know why it states not compatible as there were no alterations to get it to work or any thing like that, I'm very satisfied with this high quality, well made, easy to fit item, brilliant.

We now have five Switchbot Blind Tilts and they are great. We've had four for a couple of years and bought another earlier this year for a different room.We run them on timers through the Switchbot app and we have never had an issue with them not working when we need them to. Four are in the same room and have been combined into one rule so they act together.They are great for when you're not going to be at home when it gets dark or for when you're away on holiday. It's very easy to change the time they operate when the days get longer or shorter.They also work well with Alexa if you need to open/close without the timer.As you can see from the photo, they're discreet and not visible unless you pull the curtains back.We don't use the solar panel by choice based on the rooms we have them in.We have a different brand for opening our curtains which are very temperamental, recently when on holiday one individual stayed shut for the two weeks we were away. If we had bought the blind tilts first, we'd have gotten Switchbot Curtain Openers instead as we trust them. We will be replacing our existing ones when we get a chance with the Switchbot ones as based on our experience they are reliable and value for money as they do exactly what we need them to do.The app for Switchbot is much easier to navigate from the other brand too, was very easy to add in the additional tilt when we bought it.

This is a great idea, and it seems to work well. However it's very fiddly to set up, and if you have more than a couple of blinds (I have 12 blinds in my kitchen) it gets quite messy and spoils the clean lines of the blinds. I knew that before I started, but it looks more messy than I had hoped.This will end up costing more than £700 to do them all.The solar charger doesn't fit easily behind perfect-fit blinds, making it more messy than necessary. Additionally, the batteries require quite bright conditions to charge, I am not sure if there will be sufficient ambient light over the winter to keep them charged.All in all a great idea but needs to be more compact and neatened up considerably.
