The media could not be loaded. What i am see this products is nothing wrong with itself box of 4k media player "mypin" special for AD. But some issues is Resolution video had go terminal commands to adjustable to fit your TV. I read manual say machine automatically detect and adapts to be the TV Resolution. If your TV is not "4K60HZ, the 4k option will not appear in the player's Resolution option. See if you wanna fit your TV which not appear Resolution option then go terminal commands fix yourself to adjustable to fit to be not active of Not in option It will little off Resolution quality .If you knew how it performs will function for other Resolution option by your own type in terminal commands. Other than that speed upload in apps VLC it little slow upload but it no problem VLC . Wanna little speed up uploading video from usb memories card or SD card then check what speed sd memories card or USB memories card if still little slow then go in terminal commands to fix yourself add little speed up the upload ! Type your own mental fit Resolution/speed upload even more always test in terminal commands to feel fit of comfortable vibe run system with your mental. This all is point at system may need adjustable by your own hand type in terminal commands to run your fit of any need of required.System nothing wrong . Just reasonable if little issues then go terminal commands to change the measurements of any to be fit in own options and more. Be safe.Nothing more. This has the worst remote control I've ever used on any device in my life. You will find yourself hitting buttons multiple times with no response and literally creeping up to be a foot away from the box to get it to function.I have a gratuitous remote controller for a car stereo that has better range than this.I really wish I could just get another WD media player that connects to 8 TB hard drives and is 4K.This unit doesn't properly read the names of my hard drives, I will turn off subtitles but it will leave them on sometimes. All in all it would be usable if not for that remote control,Fast forwarding and rewinding movies can be a nightmare. On most movies it will skip 1 to 2 minutes and that is your only option and a lot of times as you were trying to fast forward to rewind it it simply goes to the very end or start of the movie

This seems to be a very adequate media player, I just can't use it. I purchased this because I needed a player that could output 60 frames per second with 4K video. As you can see from the Output table the maximum is 30 fps in UHD / 4K resolutions. I wish this table was published with the online specs.

Easy to connect and setup. Could use better connection instructions.

I like this unit, but as with a lot of other media players, it had a hard time playing DTS and other audio codecs. It is very irritating to watch a movie having the audio constantly cut out more often than not. I returned it and getting a different unit.

I'd like to share my experience with setting up this device with those considering buying this media player.I think the first thing to point out, because it reflects on everything else with this device is that it has a very slow processor. And that, I think, explains an awful lot about this unit.I own a number of tv's and media players. I chose this one because it plays HEVC files. That and that it'll read higher capacity hard drives. -So it claims.It has 4 usb receptacles and one sd card receptacle.When I began setting it up, I plugged in 3 hard drives, went into the Settings feature and assumed I could easily begin getting the device to recognize the hard drives. But no. And that was my first clue. It didn't and wouldn't recognize any of them. I turned it off, unplugged 2 of the drives and then rebooted it.Still nothing.Then, I turned it back off, and then chose the smallest hard drive in terms of gb capacity. In this case it was a 1tb drive. Rebooted the device (which takes about 90 seconds) and then plugged in the 1tb drive. I went into the settings folder, scrolled to Storage / Drives and waited about 30 seconds. It found the drive.I opened it and chose a file and it played it fine.I then went back to the settings folder and inserted another drive. This one was 2tb. No good. I then shut it off and unplugged the drive. Rebooted the device again and went thru the steps described earlier. It found it. All is good.I shut it off and rebooted. Plugged in the last drive, 5tb. It wouldn't recognize it. I fiddled around with it, trying everything I could think of. But nothin' doin'.I then unplugged the first two drives, rebooted the unit, plugged in the 5tb drive. And it found it.On that drive I have large HEVC movies. 25gb's and up. It played them.I shut it down, rebooted and installed the 1tb drive. No good.Lastly, I installed a 1tb sd card. It'll read it, but as before, not if the 5tb drive was plugged in. It's stated in the description in the Amazon listing that it'll read an 8tb drive. I don't own an 8tb drive. And maybe it will read it. But I suspect it would have latency issues.This device is Not a high performance media player. If your drives are smaller (by todays standards) it'll be ok. But it's slow to boot up. It's slow to accept settings adjustments. At times you'll have to re try setting them. Latency issues. Slow processor.I'm left wondering what's the point of having 4 usb receptacles if it struggles with that.Bottom line:Does it work? -Yes.Does it work like I felt I was led to believe? -No.Is it usable? Yes. Just don't push it. This isn't a Corvette of media players. More like an old diesel Renault.But if you don't push it, it will read the HEVC files.Good luck.
