Pilot Varsity Disposable Fountain 6 Pack Combo, 3 Black and 3 Blue Pens

I love the quality of these pens and they work perfectly. I just love that they're disposable and I don't have to fight with refilling the anchor worry about it drying out. The weigh as much as a regular pen and they write just fine, I think they were designed well and I'll definitely buy some more.

These pens are great! Write smoothly. Reasonable price. Shame no way to tell how much ink is left but maybe I missed something.

Can be a bit pricey, but can't find these anywhere else. Delivery doesn't take too long so I appreciate that.Like them for journaling on thicker pages or improving my messy writing any other day. (On thin pages these will bleed through or especially if you hold it in one spot for too long - just a note for awareness since these are full on wet ink- rare nowadays but that's why I like them- not a fan of gel pens at all!)They seem to last a decent amount of time. Love that blue ink is an option (also quite in my favorite pens it seems).Metal fancy tip is nice.Fun to use. Feels like a decent quality (but not heavy weight).I don't use these for calligraphy, since I'm new to that art and have been using brush top markers for that. I like these for general journaling.

When was the last time you couldn't wait to write something by hand? When was the last time you wrote something by hand PERIOD? Well, ever since I picked up my new Pilot Varsity, I have rediscovered the joy of the ACT of writing even if it's just a to-do list! But what really excites me is how well it pairs with my Bullet Journal whose emphasis on analog day-planning makes a well-thought implement choice part of the game. The smoothness of the Varsity is what really grabbed my attention. It's like spreading butter on warm bread. And it does not bleed through my journal, so another point for Pilot.I will say that the line it produces is a little thick as others have described; if you write small, this may not work for you. See my photo which compares the Varsity with its medium nib to the sister Pilot V-Pen with its fine nib. (I've reviewed that pen on its own page.) The length of the pen is shorter than some, too. I have small hands, but if you've got big mitts, you may feel cramped. Some reviewers have found a difference in the flow of the black vs. the blue. I use the black exclusively and have found no problems. Holding the pen at the correct angle is important and maybe that is their trouble.Speaking of grip, my teen has always "crabbed" her pen (held it in a tight, unhealthy clench, which contributes to fatigue) despite all my effort to teach her the proper way. Yet, when she picked up the Pilot, she immediately adopted an appropriate hold on the pen. She explained that it was necessary to hold the pen like that to produce a stroke! So if you've got a "crabby" writer in the family, this pen could solve it!Good thing this deal comes with six of them cuz as soon as the other family members tried mine, they wanted their own. Give 'em a try! Even if you decide not to return them, they're so cheap, you can score points of your own by handing out to friends. Stocking stuffer, anyone?

So fun and useful

I lost my nice fountain pen so I bought these until I could get a new one, and I wasn’t expecting much from them as they’re just cheap plastic- but they write much better than I was expecting!If you write a lot and find that your hand gets tired while using a metal fountain pen, these be the solution as they’re super light and easy to write with. The ink is a nice viscosity, flowing easily from the medium nib. The size is fairly standard for a fountain pen.

This 6 pack disposable fountain pen set (3 black and 3 blue) is very nice and cost effective. I have been using fountain pens and/or calligraphy pens for several years but recently tried these disposable fountain pens from this brand and love them. I don't have to buy cartridges or fill adapters with ink, it's nice. They write incredibly smooth, are comfortable to hold and write with. I believe these pens would be easy for beginners to use as well. I highly recommend these pens!

Not calligraphy pens. Just really smooth writing pens that look cool.
