Pricier than Teflon tape but works far far better
I picked these up after replacing a bath valve where the valve unit came with some teflon tape that even after several attempts (and yes, apply the tape correctly) I would still get a drip. This product worked well and no drips then, or 9mo later as I'm writing this. Teflon tape is certainly cheaper (often included "free" with kits) but I've had issues this time and in the past with it so to me this felt well worth the cost (certainly much cheaper than finding a leaky connection after the fact!). plus less mess and less permanent (in a good way; connection can be undone for future repairs downstream) than the liquid sealers/welders

AWSOME stuff , I had loose fitting Chinese pipe fitting on a fuel transfer tank , tightened it right up , no leaks !

Better than teflon tape?
Like the concept of the product but don't find it better than teflon tape.

Not as good as pipe dope
I had high expectations given positive reviews. Attached backflow valve in residential area to pvc fittings. Most fittings were water tight but some not. I noticed that with recomended turns it was hard to screw on the fitting but thought it may have been a positive thing that added tightening pressure. Nonethess, given some fittings were not waterproof I deducted 2 stars. Pipedope. T+2 has been the superior product. It’s been very reliable.

Quality
Good quality for sealing these hard to seal pipe threads. Pipe fittings are made in so many different countries it's hard to get them to seal. This is the best one that I have found for the tough ones.
