I ordered this prebiotic after reading and listening to the video by Dr. Gundry and purchasing a bottle of his Lectin Shield. I have been taking probiotics for years and when I run out and can't get them for a few days I do notice a difference, but the last 6 months my IBS has gotten out of hand. When I saw information on SIBO, I did a little more research and came across the Gundry info and the information that taking both a prebiotic and probiotic was a better plan. I have been taking these prebiotics for 2 weeks. It's hard to talk about them without TMI, but suffice it to say by adding these in daily with my first meal of the day I've had a distinct change in my problems. I've cut the number of visits to the facilities in half and rarely have to go within 1/2 an hour of eating anymore. On the days when I have a higher lectin meal, I do use the Lectin Shield as well, but only use that with one meal about 3-4x a week, so I know the reason for the overall change in my digestive tract has been simply from instituting this prebiotic. I have numerous food sensitivities and allergens so I do tend to limit my meals to the things that don't bother me as much, but even doing that I was going 5x a day or more. Since instituting the prebiotic I'm down to 2x a day, 3 at the most, with just 2 weeks of usage. As others mentioned there was a bit of smelly gas in the beginning, but that died down after the first week. I believe it was probably due to the bad yeast/bacteria being killed off most likely. After that no more smelly gas, so if you do get that side effect, just know it goes away pretty quickly. I would definitely recommend this prebiotic if you are searching for one and I will make sure that I never run out of these. I like being able to leave my house and do stuff for extended periods of time without having to worry about where the closest bathroom is!

I've been looking for a prebiotic to add to my probiotics I take daily. I have seen a lot of reviews for other Prebiotics from people who were trying to do the same and was a little nervous since they describe the first few days as being nothing but going to the bathroom constantly. I have almost finished my first bottle and the products have not upset my stomach. I could tell a few days in that they were working because I felt/looked much less bloated after eating and felt less pain from my stomach trying to digest the food. I will definitely continue to order this product! Also, sidenote (and sorry if too much information), I did experience more passing gas during the first week, but that was obviously from my gut flora trying to clean itself up now that I added the prebiotics. I would much rather have that than to be afraid to leave my house for a few days due to constantly running to the bathroom like other brands/products might have caused!

Just what I was looking for!!

This is a PRE-biotic, not a probiotic; that's EXACTLY why I bought it because it's supposed to work on a different part of the G.I. tract. So be sure you're buying the one you want. That said, I couldn't tell that the pills changed anything in me after finishing the bottle so I never bought it again. They taste, well, like pills; neither particularly good nor bad.

I wanted to clarify that this is the Vitamin Bounty Prebiotic Digestive Support, since the top review is for the Probiotic blend and may be confusing.Hubby and I began taking the Vitamin Bounty Prebiotic Digestive Support, and by week two really noticed something happening. Hubby has had surgery for Diverticulosis and struggles to maintain gut health. He began with their Probiotics and noticed improvement, but adding this Prebiotic has reduced bloating and other digestive discomfort. He is on AD for the Probiotics and hopefully these Prebiotics will soon be available on AD as well.I've recently been suffering from severe gut pain after eating foods such as apples and cheese - foods that never bothered me before. Tried an Rx, but it's only to be used short term, and masks symptoms instead of resolving the problem. The Prebiotic blend offers better results without the terrible side effects that come with pharmaceuticals. I'm definitely noticing Improvement. These and their other products offer excellent quality and value. Took photo of Manufacturing date, which is 11/2018. These are still fresh. Prebiotics arrive boxed with a seal around the lid.
