Excellent replacement for Nespresso pods, that tastes great, and function perfectly!
This is definitely my favorite Nespresso replacement, out of all the ones I have tried. The name brand Nespresso pods are always excellent, but they are very pricey. This is a great way to keep your Nespresso costs down. I can go through a sleeve of 10 pods in one day, and these are truly just as good as the real ones. The real Nespresso pods come in many different varieties, which makes it easy to get some variety, but I haven’t tried enough of the name brand pods, to give you which one this tastes the closest to, but these are excellent, and I don’t feel like I am cutting any corners, using these. At this point, I reach for these first, although I do keep the actual Nespresso ones stocked up too. The biggest plus, besides the great taste, is these function perfectly in the Nespresso machine, and have never failed. Some of the other replacement pods, have mixed reviews, as to their functionality. I have been through many dozens of these, with no problems whatsoever. Highly recommended!

My new favorite!
I use an Inissia coffee maker and am constantly on the lookout for a third-party coffee that matches the flavor of the Nespresso brand because, well, I'm cheap and drink a LOT of coffee. I've tried over a dozen different brands and until now Pressogno tops my list. That said, the Cafe' La Llave Espresso capsules are my new favorite. Both Pressogno and Llave use a clever foil seal on the top AND bottom guaranteeing near 100% brewing success, though the Cafe' La Llave uses a more robust plastic pod. Most plastic and even Nespresso aluminum capsules occasionally fail if the base doesn't pierce properly, making the coffee kinda "drool" out. Both the Cafe' La Llave Espresso and Pressogno coffee capsules keep the coffee fresh by sealing them with nitrogen gas.The La Llave Espresso is rich and tasty, producing a nice crema topping after brewing. The price per unit matches Pressogno, half that of Nespresso, with a bit less messy packaging.I'm drinking the Cafe' La Llave Espresso as I write this and, while it doesn't quite match the original Nespresso brand, the price and brewing reliability earns it five stars.

Delicious and economical
What am I looking for in a Nespresso-compatible pod? Flavor. Compatibility with my Inissia machine. Price.Flavor - I love the flavor of these Cafe La Llave pods. After 20 cups in the last month, I'm still excited for my little morning brew. The pod produces a dark and rich cup of espresso, true to the "11 Intensity" rating, and indistinguishable from genuine Nespresso coffee. I am a "Roma" and "Ristretto" fan. Cafe Llave totally satisfies me.Compatibility - These plastic pods with foil on each end fit easily in my machine, and drop out of the way when you lift the handle after brewing. No fit issues at all. Usually the amount of coffee in one shot is just right, but occasionally it's a little short. I just push the button for another 2 or 3 seconds of brew, though, to be honest, this coffee is so good, I may be doing this because I just can't get enough of it.Price - 40 capsules for $20.99 works out to about 52.5¢ per cup. Nespresso pods start at 70¢. At one shot/day, that's a difference of $64/year which will buy me another 122 capsules. If you drink more than 1/day, the savings become more dramatic.Cheers!

Superb espresso - Best Nespresso alternative I have found so far
I am Italian and really love the espresso and cappuccino drinks from my home country. While original Nespresso Ristretto was OK, I found it too bitter for my taste, and other types are too weak, not to mention really expensive (70 cents or more per capsule). I have tried other options to cut down the cost in half by making my own using Lavazza Blue with Capsul'In capsules, but it's time consuming and doesn't always work. Other Nespresso compatibles taste worse.La Lave is "The Key" to coffee happiness! Capsules are excellent quality. While not fully clad in aluminum, they are sealed at both ends, including the narrow end, with aluminum, so all perforation through which coffee flows are aluminum, making the quality very consistent from capsule to capsule. And the coffee flavor is strong yet smooth and not at all bitter. Great balance!!

Beats Gimoka hands down - Best cheap real espresso I've found for Nespresso
What I'm looking for: the closest I can get to the espresso served at every decent coffee bar in Rome, ItalyAs we know, Nespresso does an ok job of getting as close to this goal as you could ask for a home capsule-based system. But their capsules are too expensive. Reviews will quickly show you that any significantly cheaper alternative does not succeed in tasting good. I gave a real try to Gimoka Intenso, based on a preponderance of favorable reviews in Italian at amazon.it. But, honestly, that stuff is closer to bad hotel/church coffee than to anything else. Even in a caffelatte you can tell at once that the coffee component is gross and inferior.I'm so happy to have found this product (Cafe La Llave, intensity 11). No, it's not as good as Nespresso's best. But it's actually palatable and drinkable as espresso, or in a caffelatte. I'll continue to stock some of Nespresso's best offerings for guests and for when I feel like something special, for my everyday espresso, I can live with this!
