You can point this at the sun with f1.4 and not be over exposed

Very well made, nicest filter I ever used. No vignetting, that is why I stopped using them. I do not use variable ones. Look if you are in. The sun you slap this on and open the aperture wide open and your good. The polarizing part is really useful. You basically can turn it off, point it at the sky and you will see as you turn it the sky get blue. Point it at a car or a house window and watch how it removes the refection. Best looking filters too. The gold and the tint over the glass, just looks high end. The case is solid and rubber ti protect. Hands down the only filter I use if its sunny out. Forget variables. Why would you buy an expensive full frame lens with expensive glass and throw some $20 filter on it? Get the 82 or 77 and use step rings. You dont need to buy one for every lens. Inly filters That I will ever use again. Polar pro makes excellent step ring too. It is built for these filters, that is another thing, no cheap step rings. That is where id buy individually. Like 77-82 or 67-82 but one filter, get the best or cheap out. If you own nice gear.

Excellent build, excellent color reproduction and cuts reflections wonderfully!

This is the second PolarPro filter I have bought, the first being the also wonderful ND8PL! This filter however is much more useful as I rarely if ever use a tripod, so the more light gathered is huge to me! I use this mainly on my Nikon 24-70mm f2.8E VR lens and also plan to use it from time to time on my 16-35mm f4 VR with a step-up ring. I don't ever use my ND8PL anymore as it sucks up at least 3-stops of light and I'm not a fan of tripods, so this CP is awesome and with the excellent VR on the new 24-70mm I can get sharp shots at 1/10th of second all day. Also I love the build quality, presentation and look of these filters. They are definitely worth every penny and better than the competition in almost every way. The one draw-back and it's kinda important to me is that you CAN'T use a lens hood with these filters attached. None of my lenses with these in place allow the hood to fit over the filter's knurled edges and thats a real disappointment. I use lens hoods 100% of the time indoors or out and in any lighting day or night. So I do hate that about these filters, however since they do have great anti-reflection coatings and what not you can get away without a hood, but thats only one part, the main point of the hood is to protect the lens.

Not just marketing hype

Fantastic packaging/presentation, absolutely feels top of the line when you open up the box. Quality of the lens material is also top notch. The lens doesn’t produce the polarization “X” like the Tiffen I have.As far as cost to value, I gave it 4 stars because the price is high and I’m not sure if a 1 stop ND (vs a variable ND) is worth the premium.Since this is the only ND I own, I find myself wishing I could just adjust the ND strength while shooting, so that’ll likely be my next purchase. But if you’re adding to your collection of single stop ND’s then it’s a no brainer, get it.Overall, this is a fantastic product and I’m impressed with the whole line. Would recommend.

The Best ND Filter You Can Get On the Market

Five star for the quality of these filters, minus one star for PolarPro over packaging them. There is no material color shifting when using these ND filters, and the background blur is gorgeous especially in the mid-day bright situation. PolarPro gives you so many things come along with the filter, however, the quality of them is not really comparable to the filter itself. My case has some cracks and the protection pouch feels quite cheap as well. Overall, I will recommend this product to anyone who wants to film a cinematic video during mid-day, while I suggest PolarPro cutting the price down a bit by providing just a reasonable amount of packaging.

Quality is amazing, it does the job. My pictures and video on my A7IV look great. Just avoid dark areas. But this thing is sweet! Never had issues with it being stuck

Does it's job

Quality seems great and it works well. More costly than others, wonder if there would be a noticeable difference from a cheaper filter?

You Get What You Pay For

It has been said that you get what you pay for. The 77mm Circular Polarizer filter that I purchased is the best filter of it's type I have ever used. The quality far surpasses every other less expensive filter I have tried. My only wish is that this filter came in different sizes to fit my other lenses, specifically 72mm and 105mm. If these became available, I would buy them immediately.

It has made a difference!

If you know how to take a long-exposure picture, then you need this filter to take your game to the next level. In many cases, you can shoot only JPEGS with this filter only! Because the clarity, saturation, and contrast are already great with this filter on! But yes, it comes at a hefty price.
