Used this as a replacement for my broken half twist throttle. At first I thought I wouldn't like it because I had grown comfortable with the twist type. I gave it a try because I couldn't find a replacement 1/2 twist throttle that already had the female wire connector. This comes with the correct JST connector I needed. Long story short, I was very happy when I plugged it in and it simply worked. And after using it and getting it adjusted to a comfortable position I've grown to really like it.It has some advantages and disadvantages in comparison with a twist throttle. One advantage is I get to keep my hands and wrists in a relatively stationary and stable position. Also, for some reason my motor is a lot quieter and smoother on takeoff with this in comparison to the twist throttle. Lastly, I have more bar space for accessories. Disadvantages are I feel I have slightly less control over speed modulation, getting my hand to the brake is a little slower and I have slighlty less control over the bike in general since I'm not gripping the bar with my thumb.

Using this in a 0-5V system, works great with a Roboteq controller. Doesn't go all the way to zero OR 5V, which is good because then you can have the controller detect an accidental disconnect. The plug is junk, but probably fine for casual projects.

I have been through multiple throttles and this has been the best so far. Works in rain, and is comfortable
