Just over £5 per kilo, cannot be beaten in price

I actually put the first few bags through a colander looking for stones since I was suspicious due to low price . I have since gone through around 50KG's of the stuffPreviously I have purchased over 30 odd different varieties of coffee brands, from all over the world . I had beans imported ( from friends) from Phillipines, Brazil and tried many different products on Amazon .I was very sceptical before purchasing, since there were a fair amount of negative reviews however I took the plunge since it was very cheap , Per kilo this is the best value coffee available at time of purchase, I have not yet found this value it works out at just over £5 per kilo .As for the taste, this is definitely one of the strongest and oily coffee beans that I have tasted . The beans are a unique and very varied blend in size and colour , the colour of the roast is mixed giving a complex taste that can be grinded fine for a sweeter chocolaty/nutty taste , or more course for a more acidic fruity flavour .Overall I am pleased, for six kilos for around £30 , that's fantastic value . I have been ordering this for several months now , no complaints

Gran Bar by Gimoka Honest Italian cafe style espresso beans, good value

Honest daily cafe quality Italian espresso, chocolate and nutty notes , robusta caffeine kick. Good freshness by comparison with other purchases of Italian coffee (this time), prompt delivery.very good value for money as bought on promotion.Minded by other reviews to check for rogue stones before grinding..no stones as yet ,but quite a lot of husks.Overall will buy again as a occasional counterpoint to my usual speciality coffee purchases .

Everything that could be wrong with this coffee is wrong with this coffee!

If it went wrong then it went wrong with this coffee... ...WORST COFFEE EVER, WORST COFFEE BUYING EXPERIENCE ... AVOID...So let's start,1.it said 6 bags but the seller can not count and boxed 52.the seller put the 5 1Kg bags in a old nasty used box... "White vinegar" so poor presentation, an old box from sainsbury for all I know.3. The box was not protected from damage or crush, as the bags are not vacuum sealed they easily "popped" so I had 2 of the 5 bust open leaking out of the box.4.amazon knew the bags inside were leaking and just allowed the beans to spill all down my driveway and front step.. He just knocked and ran dumping it on my doorstep.5.my CCTV shows the driver dropping multiple parcels out the back doors of his van.. I can not be sure if mine was one but nevertheless the driver had not respect for amazon customers parcels and items.6. I go to the returns section only to find that the seller has listed this as non-returnable... FOR ANY REASON... INCLUDING DAMAGE, MISSING GOODS... EVERY REASON IS REFUSED BY THE SELLER FOR RETURN.... SO THE SELLER IS WILLING TO BREACH YOUR CONSUMER RIGHTS AND PROTECTIONS, AND THE DISTANCE SELLING REGULATIONS....If something arrives damaged or sub standard you have protection under your consumer rights... What arrogance by the seller to even block a reasonable return request when something is damaged or missing... They think they can force you to keep it.... Wow.... This seller is getting reported for breaching my consumer rights and avoiding distance selling regulations.7. Sellers customer services is the worst...basically the communications from the seller is unhelpful and as basic as possible to make you frustrated as its all 100% to basically proove everything... They don't make mistakes so I must be the one not counting to 6 correctly... Please send us pictures weights evidence that this and the other... So make sure you take video evidence of you opening the sealed box as you might need that documentation if you have damaged goods or missing goods or in my case both as the seller is going to make you work to prove you are to blame in some way to avoid you getting a refund replacement or basic help with your consumer rights.8.the coffee is cheap because the quality is bad in every way possible... I have never seen coffee beans mixed with twigs and dirt before but now I have so you are going to be grinding up goodness knows what if you aren't careful.9.worst tasting coffee ever, even an insult to other coffee blends and a big Insult to you the consumer.worst insult to my tastebuds ever, even a coffee person who drinks anything as long as its wet brown and hot will twist there face after a sip of this muck. Tastes super bitter... Very very very acidic and tastes like burnt nuts mixed with burnt branches and mud.Ignore the price... It will end with you buying twice and this in the bin.AVOID THIS.. IT'S NOT WORTH THE HASSLE

Too much of a compromise with flavour.

Drinking espresso from a DeLonghi Micalite espresso machine for the last 6 years. It turns every coffee into creamy and rich and it takes quite bad quality seeds to fail it, yet I must say, this gimoka seeds are particularly poor quality, very bad selection, lots of bitterness in flavour and overall very disappointed to have tried to save a couple of quid from a qualità rossa or Amazon brand (which is alright). I am afraid it is way too much of a compromise with quality and flavour, if I think that adding 2 pounds would have got me a qualità rossa guaranteed standard, I am biting my nails for trying to be cheap. Sorry, but not again.

Try it as filter coffee!

Are you a fan of strong-yet-smooth filter coffee? Did you come to this page by sorting coffee by price per kilo (and are wise enough to avoid Der-Franz)?If you answered yes to both of those, buy this coffee!I purchased it in a rush, based on the second of the above two criteria, neither realizing nor caring that the product was marketed as espresso beans. However! Myself and everyone else who has tried this coffee (most of a multi-group, highly caffeine-dependent research department) were blown away by how absolutely delicious the filter coffee from these beans is. Qualitative input parameters were: finest grind setting, unbleached filter paper, fastest water throughput.

non strong flavour coffee

This coffee appears to me to be a very weak flavour. Being a coffee freak - i will not buy it again. Value for money for someone who wants a mild coffee as there is a great amount in the pack. I put 3 times the normal amount into a cafeteria just to taste the coffee. Could be good for some one with good taste buds
