Non-Triditional learning game
This a great way for kids to play a video game and get smarter at the same time. It takes more effort and concentration than a simply shoot them up game. The kids needed to be coaxed into starting play, once going, they kept playing.

Excruciatingly Slow!
There is potential to this game - I think the exercises could be helpful. But, the game is flawed. It starts out with a test to gauge your mental age (reminiscent of Wii Fit Plus). The test only takes a few minutes. Then, you stamp the date/score on a calendar (again like Wii Fit - there are many similarities including screen-character reaction, grading, and even some of the challenges). After the assessment, you can choose individual skill tests or play three that have been chosen for you. Every time you complete an exercise, you're returned to a plaza with Dr. Kawashima where you are provided with a score and words of wisdom such as "you've still got a long way to go" and "you seemed to be having a hard time, but maybe those were just tough exercises." Then, you have to move to another screen where a graph is displayed. This is EVERY time each exercise is run! The delays in this game are what spoils it for me. The graphs after every exercise are overkill. And, it would flow SO much better without the constant input from the dr. who never has anything helpful to say.I've had problems with the menus & tutorials picking up hand movement when there was none. This causes the tutorial and menu screens to move back and forth at random. It doesn't occur while playing the challenges, but it's another annoyance and makes the game even more tedious. Add to that awful repetitive music, and it's just not a fun experience. You need mobility to do the tests, but they're not highly active. I love Kinect and was looking forward to this game, but it's very disappointing. To be fair, I haven't tried the group activity portion of the game, and it could be that's where it excels.

love this game. it does have trouble switching among players, but the games are great and they change too. It's really good to have my kids see me play. highly recommended. Actually, its the best of the kinect games i bought.

Oddly fun
Body and Brain Connection also appears to be geared for adults who are looking for a game to exercise the brain. If you are a big gamer, I wouldn't say to try this one but I did find it rather fun and challenging. Often, I will do the brain fitness test during my lunch hour to try and counteract that 2pm brain fog and it really does help me be more alert in the afternoon. What I like:-The memory and coordination games really do seem to be mentally stimulating-The games are fairly challenging-Keeping track of progress and beating the previous score is part of the fun-This is actually a game my grandparents tried and liked as well! What I don't like:-I can see where the graphics would not be impressiveOverall, I play this often and do find that it helps me be more mentally alert in the afternoons. Body and Brain Connection is also something nice to share with the older adults of the family who can't usually do other Kinect games.

The games are great; the interface is a bit hokey.
This is an entertaining Kinect "game" that tests your dexterity and responsiveness -- and definitely gives your brain a work-out. The more you play, the more games are unlocked -- so you're encouraged to come back.In a few of the games, we've had problems with Kinect sensing movements that clearly weren't there -- but that sort of adds a "randomness" factor that can be a little fun (if frustrating for the victim!).Don't be put off by the sometimes inelegant interface and annoying "host" -- nor the rather weak and confusing demo version of the software. The games provided with the fully-paid disc version are fun (and hopefully, good for us!).
