A Word of Warning.
Very pleased with the 'pik' action as the jet certainly works well to remove food particles. A word of warning: be careful not to overuse the 'pik' as it can damage gums. I have turned down the setting and use less water (slightly warmed is best) and my gums are now healed.

I think these along with the Waterpik I’ve saved my tooth.
During lockdown I was getting headaches and sinus problems and my teeth were hurting on one side. I figured it was all connected and it appeared to be sinus related. After lockdown when we were finally allowed to go and see a dentist properly, my dentist noticed that I had a food pocket between two back molars. Unfortunately our Dental practice then folded and so I had to find another. When I did go to this Dentist, they were not particularly pleasant and I found myself not wanting to go. It didn’t help that neither the dentist had explained exactly how I needed to clean this particular pocket. It was not just using a Teepee cleaner between my teeth, I actually needed to clean inside my gum! The trouble with doing that is that you can exacerbate the problem very quickly by damaging your gum further.I wish I had got one sooner! These Little Heads for the water pic make for a more gentle, finer stream of water to get the debris out of the pockets you may have. The actual device itself has been wonderful - if a little expensive, but my goodness they are certainly worth it. Initially, I was getting quite a lot of bleeding as gum disease had obviously set-in quite badly even though I had good teeth. It looks like I have saved my tooth, whether or not the pocket will decrease in size and eventually heal itself - Who knows? All I know is, I’m doing the right thing with these waterpik heads. One thing I would say is because they are a smaller opening you cannot have the device on full power. It will only work on settings one and two, The third will jam the device, so be aware of that.

Rather a mystery!
There must be a technique to know in order to get what the dentist says should be possible. So my jury is out on this and pending some instruction from somewhere, as none comes with the item - only the benefit which is yet to be found.

Does what it says
The Waterpik I bought came with 4 heads, but not a pocket pik, which is the one I need to try to flush out a gum pocket. It fits onto the WP450 with no problem. It also works well getting water between my teeth, which are very close together. Waterpiks need manual dexterity to use - otherwise water sprays everywhere.
