Finally a perfect LED light. Soft start without flashing and dimmable without flickering.
This review is for BR40, 65W-equivalent, 800 Lumen, 2700K version:I am beyond enthusiastic about these LED light bulbs. They are a dream come true. I like them so much and felt such inspired by them that I could hardly wait to share my positive review. These LED light bulbs absolutely look and feel like incandescent lights! I tried running them alongside with similarly frosted incandescent lights and it is hard to tell the difference; hard to tell, which one I prefer more. They are THAT much alike. Needels to say, the color temperature is a perfect match.Unlike some other LED bulbs that are currently on the market, these start not only WITHOUT a flash, these start with a speedy, yet incremental increase of output. On the other hand, when turning them off, they turn off with a speedy dim.Have I mentioned how beautiful and warming the output is?I will definitely keep ordering more of these. Recommended to friends only.

Great bulbs and dim perfectly
I needed a new bulbs to replace some 10 year old LED bulbs that started to develop flickers or turning off from overheating. These bulbs are great, they are a color match for the other 2700K bulbs I have and dim very well on my Lutron Caseta dimmers. As long as I get the 10 years I got out of the Sylvania bulbs they will have been worth it.

Five out of six failed within a year.
Within the first year five out of six of these failed completely - got progressively dimmer than stopped working. The sixth was only recently installed as a replacement, I'm sure that will fail as well. These were not used on a dimmer, just a normal switch. My house if full of LED bulbs - none of the other ones did this. Normally Philips makes good bulbs, but these are garbage. Now I need to figure out how to warranty from Philips - PITA. Avoid these.

Good color; good response to dimmer
I replaced about about 10 canned lights in my kitchen with these. They are on dimmers and can vary from quite bright to quite dim. They don't protrude from the canned fixtures, but they extend further than the previous PAR 30s did. That helps provide more light in the kitchen, but at their brightest setting they produce more glare at an angle.

It works with electronic dimmers
The bulbs are an easy to screw in direct replacement for incandescent BR40. I was apprehensive to buy them at first, because every dimmable bulb on Amazon claims to work without issues and then you read reviews about flickering. I’m adding this review so others with electronic dimmers like mine can understand that the lights will actually work. See the pic of my dimmer. Note that the lowest setting is a little brighter than incandescent but still low light and cozy enough.

Very soft light
Had a lot of trouble finding a BR40 LED with low enough kelvin temperature to match the incandescent bulbs I was replacing in my bedroom. These were the absolute closest I could find. Granted when they are on full blast they are brighter, but when dimmed even just a little bit they look almost identical to the incandescents they replace.

No RFI
Many LED bulbs produce RFI -- Radio Frequency Interference, that interferes with my ham radio operations. These Philips bulbs produce no RFI that I have been able to detect. I also like the way the color becomes "warmer" when they are dimmed down.
