Well made product easy to setup and use.
This is a well made product that is easy to setup and use. This product is a revelation allowing powered speaker placement anywhere there's a power socket. It really shows itself off when you are connecting 3 or more powered simultaneously (I've tried it with 6 speakers which worked great(Six receivers used)).The only issue with this device is that, if the transmitter is sited too low you will get audio drop outs when people walk pass.I've made a tripod tower that allows the transmitter to sit at around 5-6 Ft high off the ground which has eliminates the drop out problem. There's also no loss in sound quality. This device plus additional receivers are quite expensive and should be looked as an equipment investment. These devices are worth the investment from a time saved and easier setup routine.Great product.

Short range
Not bad, but signal drops out if its line of sight is interupted by people.

Great for connecting to a mixer desk or active speaker
Used with devices with XLR o/p such as dynamic microphone or amplifier with XLR DI out.The freedom from a cable, especially a long cable, and minimal signal decay is a real boon.Signal decay is affected by what the signal passes through so best result if the receiver is clear of obstructions (like people). The aerial is very flexible, which needs to be kept in mind when fitted to a microphone. In my “cableless” rig I prefer a different design with enclosed aerials for using with a microphone, and I use this reviewed device connected to the DI output of my combo amplifier’s connectivity to house PA.

Sent them back
There are many wireless XLR systems out there. When you pay that bit more and go for a radio frequency in MHz rather than GHz, it’s because you want professional quality. I use Alto speakers and love them so gave these a try.Sadly, the preamp in either or both transmitter and receiver is very hissy, I tried the many channels available. I would say I’m expecting a lot and it wasn’t too bad for a PA system but the far cheaper 2.4GHz ones are just as quiet and similar frequency range. (I tested in my studio with spectrum analysis before reluctantly returning them to give them a chance.)Other bad points but I’d have lived with include a cheap lightweight plastic that wouldn’t last long with roadies and AA batteries rather than the standard lithium rechargeable systems in use these days. Yes, a quick change but don’t last either. The receiver can be plugged into a usb in use, but although the transmitter can, it isn’t practical when plugged into a mic.

Set up can be very tricky, make sure you read the instructions first, but above all make sure your sound systems are all set to 0 and then gently raise them to make sure you have the right settings, a tiny bit plasticky and the range can be a bit detrimental when objects are in the way especially at the 300 feet distance.
