Excellent quality
I wasn’t sure if this grass seed would actually work but grass stsrted growing after a couple of days and I had to water it only a day or two along with rain helping out! No hay was needed

Works QUICK!
Love this stuff. Super small bag so it’s perfect for a little area where grass is damaged or missing. Works quickly and the grass is so healthy looking!

Works well.
This grass seed does a good job. It is colored green so it blends in well upon sowing.

Does not work waste of money
Do not buy this seed… It does nothing for your grass but sit there… I called the company and they gave me such a hard time to reimburse or send me a new bag… Scoring this zero if I could

Good mixture.
These grass seeds are a good starter for growing grass in the ball spots. Follow the directions and with some good watering and patience it will work out fine.

Grows but dies
It was nice seeing this grow but very fragile blades and dies easily if not watered every day. Then the dead mess looks ugly. No thanks.

Arrived Quickly, Got Planted, Covered Bare Spot
We had a tree removed in our yard and the stump ground down, however, it left a bare area in the yard that needed grass. On a whim I checked out Amazon and came across this Pennington Bare Spot Grass Seed. Hey, for what I paid it was better priced than most other grass seed products-and I didn't need a lot either. Even if it didn't do all that well I figured I would not be out all that much cash. It arrived the next day (one day service) and saved me a trip to any stores to go checking out for grass seed. I got it spread on the bare spot the very day it arrived. I raked out the dirt in the bare area first and then sprinkled the remainder of a bag of earthworm castings I had on the dirt and raked that in too. Next I spread the grass seed all over dirt on the bare spot and raked some dirt lightly over the seed--watered it well with the shower mist setting on my hose nozzle. Then since my husband had just mowed the yard I "lightly" sprinkled some grass clippings over the grass seed to keep the wild turkeys that roam through our yard from pecking at the grass seed. I see another reviewer used grass clippings as well to cover the grass seed--don't apply too much, though, and smother the seeds. We are keeping the grass seed moist by watering each day until tiny shoots start to come up, which can take awhile sometimes (if the grass seed dries out or gets too sun-baked it may not sprout). Well, within a little over a week the grass is coming up and we had some cool nights here too. Ordering on-line saved me a trip to the store.

THEY SAID I COULDNT GROW GRASS
The media could not be loaded. I have this specific tree in my yard that apparently sucks the moisture out of the clay soil here in Paso Robles CaliforniaEvery one has told me I would never be able to grow grassI did my research and found this seed.We mixed up the clary dirt with a top soil and spread two bags of seed by handAs you can tell from the patchy spots that was a fail.So I just purchased two more bags to fill the gaps.I’m estatic. Also I’m a bit annoyed I can’t find these bags at my local Lowe’s/home depot. They say they are for this part of California so you think you would be able to buy them local.I would like to note there is some odd clover growing in the grassThat must have been dormant in the the clay cm because it’s blooming in the stuff we didn’t touch because of the water
