Polk Audio Home Theater System Review Blown Away!
Let me start by saying I never leave reviews. But after finishing my dedicated theater room and firing up my Polk Audio setup, I had to make an exception. Simply put: I'm blown away.My system includes:2 Polk XT70 Towers2 XT30 Centers (yes, two centers, and clarity is unreal)2 OWM3s for rear surround1 XT12 SubwooferPowered by a Denon AVR-S570BTI spent around $1,200–$1,300 on this setup, and it performs like something three to four times that price.I tested it with everything from Star Wars, Top Gun: Maverick, Mission: Impossible, Transformers, and the full Marvel catalog. Every explosion, orchestral swell, and whispered line is crisp, dynamic, and immersive. The sub hits hard when needed, and the highs and mids are perfectly balanced. Dialogue clarity is exceptional, and music playback is just as impressive, with a wide soundstage, tight bass, and clean highs. As someone working in film and television, I use this system to review projects before sending them to streaming platforms. It gives me confidence that our audio is tight across all frequencies and plays beautifully on real-world systems. If you're looking for a budget-friendly, high-performance setup, get yourself a Polk system and pair it with a Denon AVR. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. The smile on my face during the first listen said it all.

Great product with great customer service!!!
The speakers perform really well and I’m very happy to finally be watching movies in Dolby Atmos. But, I really want to commend Polk’s customer service. I purchased these speakers in Feb of 2025. They worked great until a couple of months later one of them developed a slight hissing sound. So I called Polk customer service and immediately spoke to an advisor. She dismissed the issue as a driver problem and said they would send me a new one. So on Wednesday May 28th I first called Polk and by Monday June 2, had the new driver in my home. It was an easy install and it sounds great. I am a big fan of Polk speakers. Give them a try.

My only problem is, that I will never be able to max it out 😭
Legit amazing! 10/10 Price was perfect, would 100% buy again! 🥰But warning for people who live in apartments, if you’re not careful someone is definitely going to complain. Unless your goal is to get people upset, then ignore this warning because this will work for that 😂Also if you roll up like a foam soundproofing wall panel, and put it in the rear port (but not like fully blocking off the port though), it will make it a bit punchier. Not that it needs that to be done in anyway, but if you’re having this in a small room then doing that helps in ways that I can’t explain with words. It easily connected to my PC via optical output, which goes to an optical splitter. Then the optical branches off to my soundbar optical input and my GoXLR optical input. Then from the GoXLR I use the 3.5mm line out, converting to over to RCA into the subwoofer. This allows me to get perfect, easy and independent remote volume control of the subwoofer via the GoXLR sliders, while still having a master control on the PC that will adjust both the soundbar and subwoofer at the same time, resulting in perfectly fine tuned sound quality with absolutely no distortion.

pricey but quite effective
i had the energy 5.1 speakers. they did ok but i found myself constantly turning on closed-captions for clarity. energy was purchased to comply with a request - someone didn't want to see speakers in the family room. seems sacrilegious but fine.it's been well over a decade now and the lack of clarity was driving me nuts. in my opinion, centers don't have to work that hard especially, if the system includes a powered thumper. course, if you're a 'phile, you're likely throwin' up bout now. know that these comments ain't for you folks, k. i look for strong and clear audio from my center. this xt35, kills it!it's super pricey now but this center is the cat's meow! in fact, i bought it on a goof. i had just replaced the front surrounds with a pair of polks. it's embarrassing but they're behind a drape. same deal though, the energy's were a joke. these surrounds brought additional clarity and volume, i didn't think was possible. still, most of the dialog is channeled to the center. rarely use the captions now.full disclosure, none of these speakers were plucked off the vine. i'm out of pocket like most, if not all here. still, it's a very good buy!

Xt20s part of my all polk home theater system
I have these Xt20s paired with xt80 center and owm3 surrounds and these really compliment the system very well they make enough bass going down to 60hz steady letting me keep my sub off at night having newborn twins you can't be rumbling the house all hours of the night. As for highs I have not noticed them being overly bright or anything like that I feel they give very even sound across the Sound spectrum do pay attention to measurements their bigger then I expected these are hardly bookshelf speakers.

Terrific bargain
I have a serious stereo system in our living room. I bought these for a second system that resides in our home office. They are paired with a NAD 40 watt integrated amplifier and a couple of sources. Given their price I found the sound quality rather astounding. Notwithstanding their diminutive size they reproduce a significant amount of bass, did not see that coming. The high end and midrange are quite detailed and they throw a respectable sound stage. If you have a small room or are in need of additional surround sound speakers I would enthusiastically recommend these.
