Actually I purchased these as a baby shower gift. WHY, because when my daughter had her baby 4 months ago the nurse at the hospital recommended them. They are amazing, no sore nipples and they “instant” heal. Highly recommend, but it has to be this brand! There are knock off for less, but they do not work!!! These are real silver and made in Italy

Expensive but worken fast. The 1st few weeks of breastfeeding hurt and my nipples were raw and super tender. Finally caved and bought these and within a day my nipples felt better and within 3 days it no longer hurt to breastfeed. Wear over your nipples in between breastfeeding. To clean you make a paste with baking powder. Do not use soap

I don’t write reviews very often but I have to say that I had these recommended by multiple people including medical professionals and for my first two pregnancies I thought it was mumbo jumbo and ignored it, the price tag seemed to steep anyway.My third pregnancy and once again nursing was so painful I was almost avoiding it and I decided to finally give them a try and- wow. They actually work! Even when they first arrived I was skeptical and underwhelmed by them- but I can’t argue with the results. I was using the hydrogel patches before these but the results from these were actually faster for me.You and your baby’s health and ability to nurse without agony and stress are totally worth it. They protected me and allowed me to heal in between sessions so that I eventually rarely needed them. The only thing I wish is that I had gotten them two pregnancies ago when they were first recommended to me. It would have saved me a lot of pain and suffering.

I cannot sing the praises of these enough. For my first baby I exclusively pumped and did not use silverettes. My nipples were red, cracked, and incredibly sore. I would shudder every time I put clothes on or the water from the shower touched them. This time around I am breastfeeding my second baby and using silverettes 100% of the time I’m not nursing. They have legitimately saved my nipples. They aren’t sore, cracked or red at all. They are a breeze to clean and can be cleaned by just rinsing under warm water. The design keeps nipples protected from chafing or bumping into clothing, while also healing them through the silver. I was worried about them being indiscreet, but when used under a padded bra, or a bra with nursing pads, you really can’t even notice them there. I opted for the XL size, and I don’t even feel like I have exceptionally large breasts, but I was glad I did so, they are the right size for sure. Overall, I think this is a must have for anyone nursing / pumping. It should be a registry staple, and if your friends don’t have it on their list, I suggest getting it for them anyway. Love this product and so thankful for it!!

These are expensive but WORTH IT, especially with the silicone edges! Breastfeeding was excruciating for me though I had several lactation consultations with different specialists. They all confirmed baby and I were working together perfectly, no ties or issues but it was so painful I started cracking and bleeding for days. Remembered I had these right when my milk was coming in, and they HEALED ME. Not the creams or ointments, just my own breastmilk being wiped on the damaged areas and using these silverettes!! Good luck mamas!! You're amazing!!

These are so over-hyped online and by other people, I may have set my expectations too high. People talk about these like they are a miracle but they are just OK.— The only reason I wear these all day, every day is because they prevent nipple chafing. However, their shape is very prominently visible through clothing so if that concerns you then you definitely need to wear with a padded bra.— Would not recommend using lanolin or nipple balm simultaneously. I did and it got too moist in there and I got a fungal infection. (To be fair, the packaging advises against this.) I guess the anti-microbial abilities of silver can only go so far.— Milk does pool up in these. Between sessions, I wipe down the insides of the cups with a baby wipe. Once a day I wash them with soap and water and run them in the sanitizer. Even so, often when I lift them off, there’s a sour, cheesy smell.— The one impressive thing that I attribute to these silver cups is that I think they significantly shortened the healing time when I had a nipple fissure. (All healed up, smooth and painless, no scabs or bleeding, in 3 days!)Everything about breastfeeding and pumping sucks. These might make your nips feel a little better, with some caveats.

I wish I had these my first pregnancy. I had friends recommend them and oh.my. goodness. What a difference! Totally different experience the second time around and the breaking in period for my “areas” was significantly less painful that first week. I put these in my bra immediately after nursing and the pain just dissipated. Seriously, it vanished until i took them off. If you get cracking or blistering, the milk pools up in these which is like it’s own self healing thing, in addition to the silver itself. Truly a game changer.
