Everila Extra Large Extra Tall 48" Two Door New Dog Crate Cage Kennel with Divider 35" H Greyhound

We rarely write reviews, but this product needs a warning for other buyers. We operate a rescue organization, so have many crates in several sizes by various manufacturers. This is the only crate that we could find with the added height but still has the same 48x30 footprint for our existing mats. We wanted to love this crate and we need the extra height for tall greyhounds - several of the big boys have scratched their bony spines when trying to get into traditional height crates in the 48x30 footprint. When we made the purchase, the description indicated the crates are made from heavy duty wire - after talking to the seller (who is kind-hearted and understanding), he indicated that the crates are medium weight but they still carry them for people who need the added height. We have asked him to revise the listing so others are fairly informed that these are not heavy-weight crates.Our crate arrived in poor condition due to shipping damage - sliding locks broken off at the welds made the crate useless. Even if the locks were replaceable, they are small, loose and flimsy - a dog can easily slide them and escape. We highly recommend adding a locking clip when using this crate for any dog that may play with latches. Also, another clip that secures the crate when traveling was free floating in the bottom of the box. In addition, the metal sides, corners and edges were bent in several places - we tried to bend some of it back into place and were moderately successful but were unable to get the metal to retain the original intended shape that is necessary to adequately secure the side of this crate without major gaps that could become a point of escape. The metal is so lightweight and attaching clips so loose that large dogs can easily do extensive damage to the crate or even break out. If this crate is needed for the height for a dog that could lean in the crate or get rambunctious, we recommend adding lots of zip ties if you don't need to breakdown and transport the crate.Although this crate cost more than a heavy-duty Midwest crate, the added cost was worthwhile to us to get the added 2" in height had the crate been higher quality. In addition, the crate came with a divider, which could be an added bonus for some people. The item did arrive much quicker than advertised (via Fed Ex) and the seller was very accommodating about making restitution. Sadly, we cannot use this quality of crate for foster dogs that often have separation anxiety and other behavioral issues when they initially arrive, but it could be an adequate crate for a calm, well-mannered dog that needs the additional height.

Seems sturdy. It's really big, which is what I wanted for a Greyhound dog. But did not realize that it is made in China. Instructions are four confusing drawings on the side of the package. Not being familiar with these crates, it took me a while to figure out how to set it up. Once I figured it out, it went up quickly. Delivery was fast.

Several points on the bottom front where wire pieces appeared welded together were broken, so the door won't attach. The box didn't have any obvious signs of damage, so I'm not sure if it was broken in transit. I'm hoping Everila will provide a refund, but I'm not sure yet. I’ll provide an update later.

Plenty big enough for my Chocolate Lab, I did reinforce it a bit at the corners, just in case, with a little stainless wire. He's a bit rowdy at times, and I was just saving myself from a potential "jailbreak"..lol. I have had it for a while now and it has held up perfectly, and he seems happy with the room he has in there.

Second kennel for second greyhound. Purchase was based on excellent experience with first crate purchased. Extra height perfect for our greyhounds.

It is perfect. Simple to unfold and snap together. Large enough for my LAB with room to stand and stretch out plus width is super as well. Cannot go wrong with this product.

I gave it a 3 because the part were looks like they added for the extra height is flimsly. And I have to try to fix it. So when we leave the dog in there he doesn't break out. I just think it should be make a bit more sterdy for the price I paid for. Just unhappy in some way with the kennel

Arrived bent in several places. One wire weld has already broken. Flimsy.
