Easy Downspout Crimping
This crimper does the job it was designed to do easily and quickly. I bought it to narrow the ends of several downspouts. It works so well that I'm looking for other tasks for which this tool might be useful.

Very good crimps for down spout
Crimps arrived on time, well packaged, as described. They provide great consistent crimps on downspout and elbows! Will be buying more of these for the truck.

If you want quality, this is the tool to go.
The quality and fitness of the tool is great, compared to $ 24 dollars cheaper ones is a great difference, this tool is worth the money, is very solid build, I'm very happy with my purchase, you won't regret paying the extra money for the tool.

Do not hesitate, buy this tool.
I spent a good hour trying to fit downspouts together the way people suggested on youtube using a needle nose pliers and ended up screaming obscenities. "There has to be a tool for this". I looked at some cheaper units but saw the review that compared this tool to theirs. I chose this tool. I have just spent the day putting together a somewhat complicated system of downspouts from canales, (I live in Santa Fe). My goodness, I never thought I would be writing a review about how much fun (comparatively) it was to work with tool. Don't hesitate. If you're going to be working with downspouts get this tool. You won't regret it. Hopefully you can bypass the hour or so of obscenities!

Need custom length downspouts? You NEED this tool!
I had a downspout repair/replace project for 74 individual townhomes after a rather brutal winter. Many of the units required repairs. This tool allowed me to cut custom pipe lengths and get them fit together without much effort. My only caution is that it allows you to apply so much force to crimping the pipe that if you squeeze too quickly, you may cut the pipe rather than just crimp it. Reminding yourself to s-q-u-e-e-z-e slowly will help you get the results you desire. The tool is rugged and sturdy!

Great tool for installing your own downspouts
For years I avoided spending the money for a tool like this that I would only need a few times for each different house that we own. I used needle nose pliers to crimp the upstream section of downspout, and it always ended up being a mangle job. It was an embarrassment, but I covered it up with the next section downstream. When I needed to make a new downspout this time, I compared the purchase price of this tool to what it would cost to hire a handyman to do the job. That made the tool look very affordable. This tool works like a dream! It makes neat, beautiful crimps at each corner of your downspout section. Just be careful not to squeeze too hard, because I think it would be possible to cut all the way through the aluminum. I recommend this tool.

Sturdy but slices through aluminum downspout.
Looked forward to using this tool but disappointed that it sliced through the aluminum downspout when making a crimp. The blades are too sharp and should be blunt.
