Awesome! Nothing comes close at this price!
I was a bit confused when I opened the envelope and out popped a nice black hard case! inside that hard case came this USB C DAC and also a USB A to USB C adapter.I've paid 4 times this price for a high end USB C DAC and that came with a flimsy sleeve, so I wasn't expecting this. The case is big enough to accommodate my KZ ZSX along with the DAC and dongle!Thank you seller. I really didn't expect this.!Ok on to the review. After some research, this seems to be a re-brand of the BGVP-T01. You can read a more detailed review here:audioglorye dot com slash bgvp-t01Observations:1. It gets slightly warm. This is to be expected from a DAC with an amplifier. I can confirm that it does boost volume a few levels up. However, it does not get nearly as warm as the P-DAC used to get.2. The chipset has this feature, where it turns the DAC off if nothing is plugged into the jack. This is generally a pro but is a con for me. I'll explain in the cons.3. There is no noise to speak of and I've been listening for it4. In one of the pics on the listing and as another reviewer noted, this DAC is powered by a Qualcomm whs9415. Comparing this with the ESS SABRE built in my laptop, this is actually quite close to the SABRE DAC. I can hear the details, instrument separation and the mid range is really good. Bass is nice and punchy but not as much as the ESS SABRE.5. If you're going to connect this to your windows computer, don't forget to grab the Qualcomm driver package from the website I mentioned above. It's somewhere in the page. Without that it will be stuck at 48 KHZ.Now for the downsides:1. The mic does not work for my phone or my computer, but the remote works just fine, even on my laptop. That's really disappointing, because I was going to order one more just for my laptop. If someone knows a solution, please message me.2. While on the computer, unplugging the headset from the DAC sets off a cascade of beeps because the DAC disappears from Device Manager and windows reverts back to defaults.3. The drivers behave inconsistently. If I don't see 192KHZ, I have to unplug and replug a few times for it to show up.Anyway, I've attached some pics proving that this is really 32 bits and 192 KHZ.Grab it while you still can, and thank you once again, seller.

The DAC quality is really good.
The DAC has a real nice sound quality to produce bass round and punchy and overall frequency response to enjoy listening to.The mid range has a good define sound, and the high's are crisp.Good product for it's price and quality.

Outstanding affordable Hi-Res USB DAC
I've had this USB DAC since March of 2020 and still use it today. It's connected to my Samsung Galaxy S20+ phone and Sony WH-MX1000M3 headphones. The sound quality outstanding with since it is very clean, detailed and dynamic even with music streaming applications like Spotify. However, to take full advantage of this USB DAC's Hi-Res audio features, you really need to consider the source. Spotify does 320 Kbps data rate maximum. To play true audiophile quality music with this device connected to wired headphones, it is essential to download FLAC and DSD Hi-Res audio files that can do audio data rates in the Mbps range (not Kbps). DSD and FLAC audio files averages around 3 to 4 Mbps and can even go higher than 10+ Mbps. That is anywhere from 10x to 30x times the data that you get from streaming! This means you will be able to hear more music detail and sound stage since there is less data loss compared music streaming. This is why a separate USB DAC can provide a night and day audio0 difference when compared to the internal smartphone DAC.The Android music applications I use to play DSD and FLAC files are Poweramp and HiByMusic. With PowerAmp, I manually set the Hi-Res in Output settings for the USB DAC to a fixed bit/sample rate of 24 bit/192 kHz. I adjust the EQ settings a little to reduce the low and mid-range frequencies to balance the the Sony WH-1000MX3 headphones. With HiByMusic, I also set the USB Audio Sample Bit rate to 24 bits and Fixed output sample rate to 192000 (192 kHz). I enable MSEB and tweak the adjustments until the sound is even more clear. I disable EQ since MSEB does a better job of adjusting different sound frequencies. Lastly, I enable the EFOtech USpatializer in the Plugins settings to produce a wider soundstage. I am blown away of how realistic the music sounds using HiByMusic and this tiny USB DAC. The problem I have with HiByMusic is that it doesn't play all the different DSD formats. That is why I use PowerAmp app instead when I want to play more music formats.I've also used this USB DAC on my PC when I was running Windows 10 and had the same terrific results with improving audio. Unfortunately, I'm now unable to get it working using Windows 11. No matter, when I want to hear hi-res music on my phone, I use this tiny affordable USB DAC to get big audio quality results.

Barely OK sound quality - did not last, usb-c connection drops a lot
I've been using this usb-c dac with a One-plus phone for a few months, driving some very low impedance head phones(very easy to drive). Sound quality was pretty poor. Lots of noise ( digital artifacts from poor bit scaling / digital volume control ) at low volumes. This would sometimes get better by unplugging/inserting the DAC to reset it. Additionally pieces of music with louder segments the audio was consistently over-modulated/hot. (Output at low playback volume - not talking about trying to drive big cans with not enough power ) It seemed there was some aggressive digital volume boost to "make it louder" I used a player that allowed manual gain adjustment and set -10db gain from the player to make that manageable. In the middle of the range sound quality was just OK. Not as good as any built in headphone port on any device I have ever used.Lastly, the biggest complaint the usb-c connection or cable is very poor and would disconnect from the device. (Tested on multiple phones and a laptop dock ) would work for 20 mins then drop, needed a reseat. And sometimes just would not work for 10 mins. Only used device with phone on desk / table next to me, not walking around or anything. Plug connection was firm, and no visible issues in the cable. Just randomly stops working. That was the last straw and I had to toss this device.Really wanted to have a basic portable dongle DAC. This is not it tho. If not for the constant disconnecting issue I would probably have lived with the mediocre sound quality.
