Waterproof Galaxy Note II 2 Motorcycle Handlebar Mount (SKU 16148)

April 2015 Edit:So, I totally wiped out on my bike with my phone in the case. Naturally, this case was absolutely DESTROYED. But, with the added benefit of a day-to-day screen protector and this case, IT SAVED MY PHONE FROM DESTRUCTION! I only ended up with the tiniest chip on my screen. I will say, I am buying a new one because I know if I ever wipe out again, the plastic on the front of this case will take a lot of the impact, saving my phone. Good job manufacturers, you're doing it right. :]Old Review:I LOVE this bike mount! It fits my large Google Nexus 5 with case inside of it. I can still use the touch screen through the plastic with no problems! I do have a few problems with this case however. First and most frustrating is that the locking mechanism is VERY tight and difficult to remove when you're trying to take your phone with you once you lock your bike. I've taken to just removing the screw that hold the swivel bracket on to take my phone off of the bike. It's great that it's tight, but it shouldn't be THAT difficult to remove when you need it too. So in having to constantly remove the screwed on ball joint, if you're going over a lot of bumps on your bike ride, the ball doesn't stay in place as well and it kept slowly moving to the side. I would still recommend this item, but I would maybe see if there's a different way to attach the waterproof case part to the bike mount part.

This case fits my Galaxy Note II which has a thin protective cover installed. The foam pads which come with the case would allow a thicker case to be installed on the phone and still work with the cover. I was a bit disappointed that the clip did not fit the case as other have pointed out. I had to file the sides of the case a little bit in order for it be usable. I certainly understand their desire to have a tight fit between the two parts since there is not a "clip" which positively holds the phone in place and must be pushed in order to remove. The phone is held in place by an interference fit between the case clip and the mount. Obviously in time, these parts will likely wear out and the fit will start to loosen. The one this this case/mount does have which many cheaper versions do not is a D-ring on the case to attach a safety lanyard. Although a lanyard is not included, i use a small carabeener and lanyard from an old camera to attach to my bike. I gave the case 4 stars due to the filing on the clip.

I have had good luck with this on my bicycle. The reason I picked this case is a Note 3 phone fit. The build quality is reasonable and it stays on the bike well. The only thing I have found is the ball joint has to be tightened more than I feel comfortable doing on plastic to ensure it doesnt shift. So far no issues. Biggest downside is that without any venting my phone will overheat, even out of direct sunlight this is why I have rated it 4 stars.Update: I have been out and about more on my bike and today while going over some railroad tracks I actually had it unclip itself and the phone dropped. Luckily I am not on a motorcycle and the car behind me did not run over my phone. Before each ride I check to make sure it is secure. But as you are going out and about you should check this once in awhile to make sure it is not vibrating loose. I may just glue the clips so it cannot come out. Otherwise still performing well.

I have a new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with an Otterbox cover. Another reviewer stated that he could fit his phone in this case with the Otterbox, and that is partially true. However, if you want the phone to fit flush against the front cover of this case, such that you can still operate the phone screen (e.g. for navigation), then you have to remove the phone from the Otterbox. This is OK, however I'm afraid that repeatedly assembling and disassembling my Otterbox will weaken it. Also, anyone with an Otterbox will understand what I mean when I say that it is a process to do so, and anyone with a motorcycle knows that getting on and off a bike is already a process to which one hates to add more tasks. Navigation is really the only reason I would need to touch the screen though, so it is not a big deal. I will likely keep this case and just try to work with it.

Ive had this for a few years now and it is still in great condition. I use it for my mountain bike so that i can track my distance, pace, etc. I can still use my phone pretty easily while it's in the case too which is nice since I try not to break long in between trails or the occasional wreck. If you're going to use this for mountain biking I would make sure you secure it pretty well to the mount otherwise when you wreck it could pop off.

This holder fits my Note 2 perfectly. I have a generic case however with the foam inserts it is easy to adjust how tight the fit is. I noticed a few reviews where users had issues with the touch screen while in the case so I didn't expect this to work. However it works quite well for me. In fact I think it works better than screen protectors I have used. I do wish the mount had a locking mechanism as I am concerned about it vibrating loose on my V92C, but the fit is quite snug so this may not be an issue. I don't plan on removing the mount, so some rubber cement will probably fix this concern for me. It seems a little steep in price compared to some other options, however I haven't tried those other solutions to know for sure if the price is justified. Without that insight I think this was a great purchase.

Bought this for my husband before he went on a 2000 mile motorcycle trip two years ago. He's rode for over 5000 miles now on two different bikes and it's served him well until tonight! The snap between the hardware and the case itself broke while he was riding and his phone flew off the bike at 55mph into the median. Though when he found the case, his phone was perfectly intact and had no damage. Bummer that the hardware failed, but looks like we will be buying a new one! 😆

Mount fits straight to the bars on my Motorbike, good clear image through the screen when using the sat nav, and the charger fits neatly through the gap intended for such use. has managed to stay dry inside for most of the bad weather i have ridden in, but does seem to hold condensation inside the screen if left on the bike exposed.

Great product fits my note 3 fine. Could do with a gap for headphonr cable as not everyone has a bluetooth headset also the hole for the usb cable is very tight but once through its fine. Using the zip pushed tight to the headphone cable does seal it up so thats all good.testef in heavy driving rain for half an hour..You do have to get the phone in the right position for viewing I have it right infront on the bar not near the mirror.

The holder itself seems sturdy enough and I've had no problems with it so far. It clips on to the bike securely - although the little screw on the back is a bit fiddly if you're wearing gloves. The main issue is that the plastic screen is too shiny. Even on the brightest setting on the phone, it is sometimes hard to see the screen.There is a slot at the top for earphones, but if you have bluetooth earphones, it becomes even easier to use.

Just what I needed fits my phone Xperia X . Means I can use maps and gps app no problem on my motorbike. Added bonus of no chance of phone falling out of my pocket. Quick delivery no problems recommend it to my sister for her motorbike and anyone else
