Lee PrecisionC309-180-R Double Cavity Mold

.0309 and 179.0 thru180.5 your not shooting match with these anyway but at a 100yds they will group with the right hand load . I have about 10 Lee molds use match’s to season mold and anti seize on ailment dowels and sprue plate. I don’t use gas checks, i powder coat. Great little molds once you get a little experience with them.

So this was my first time casting and it definitely won’t be my last. I followed the instructions that came with the mold and the results were outstanding. I cast these for my 30-06 and used Linotype alloy. I have yet to weigh them as I’m waiting on bullet lube, but overall I’m very satisfied and hopeful.

The mold throws good bullets, I weighed 10 random bullets and had a range of weight from 178.4 grains to 180.2 grains. The average of the 10 bullets was 179.34 grains. I was expecting a bullet in the 160-165 grain range based on the other reviews, but what I got was true to the item description (using pure lead). It's a little heavier than I wanted, but I can't complain, It is what I ordered.Otherwise it is of normal lee mold quality. I did have to do a little deburring but a good quality/good value product.

Easy to use. Perfect condition right out of the box. Small bit of a learning curve but that could be just my level of skill.

Used the mould to cast lead free hunting bullets for .308 ammo. Cleaned with break cleaner then smoked with a lighter as per Lee manufacturer instructions. First 20 or so rounds came out frosted (mold or pot temp too hot) so I had to do some dialing in until I got the right temp. Bullets popped right out mostly without tapping them. Nice shiny bullets ready for powder coating and sizing process!

I didn't think I'd ever fire lead out of my .308 but gas checking and powder coating this round run it through the sizer I'm getting accurate groups out at 250 yards

Perfect on all accounts. I bought them to illuminate a small room with short ceilings. They work well. The color is great too. They definitely seem 2700k and are very bright. I highly recommend them.

Can be a little tricky to cast perfect bullets, but worth the patience and practice. My Savage AXIS in 308 loves these bullets.

Good molds

I have some other caliber Lee Precision Cavity Molds and they all work well but this one is very poor quality .The Cavity Mold isn't fit and doesn't make a good bullets.
