I have straight thin hair. cant believe I have been spending my mornings using a curling iron. This beauty heats up fast and the clips are pretty. Be careful when you pull the rollers out - I burned my finger. I remove the rollers when I get to work and shake out by head. Perfect every time!

I had an original set of these years ago but gave them away when I got my hair cut short. Big mistake. With my hair longer now, I started thinking about how great they were and bought this new set. It's just like I remembered (with some minor changes in appearance) and has been great. They make my hair soft and bouncy, and fuller. I see a lot of complaints about the clips causing crimping at the roots but I haven't really had that problem. I learned with my first set that experimenting with the placement of the clips can help a lot. We had the same problem back in the days when we wet-rolled our hair and used giant bobby pins to hold the rollers. We had to place the bobby pins just right or would get a crimp in all the wrong places! As for complaints that the rollers get hot, if I have one that's too hot against my scalp, I just stick a Q-tip under it so it's not touching my scalp. I have not felt that the rollers are hotter than they should be.

I like it but there is not an on of button. Have to plug in to use.

The rollers are great. The clips are horrible! They don’t go all the way around the roller, and they don’t hold well. I will have to spend more money on better clips.

Heats up really fast. Makes it easy to do my hair, since all I have to do is plug them in, wait a minute, put them in my hair, and let them cool. Gives me a lot of body and volume. I have thin, fine straight hair that accepts curl. I wish there was a way to get more of both sizes if I wanted to do different styles (big volume that curls under and big volume with large curls).

So I plugged in these beauties and I waited, and waited, and waited. After 45 minutes the red light was still on; it never turned to white. I unplugged them and let them cool down. After the cool down, I heated them up again for 10 minutes and tried to put them in my hair, using the set of metal clips that I was sure would work better than the plastic ones I've read about. The metal clips worked fine on the top and back of my head, but didn't work on the sides. So I used the purple plastic clips that came with them on the sides with my hair sort of hang gliding in clips that don't stay where they are put. However, even after a complete cool down and a 10 minutes re-heat, they were...hmm, let me think, oh...TOO HOT!! The edges which you are supposed to hold, were pretty hot after only ten minutes of heat. When I took them out I didn't dare put a comb in my hair but just fluffed and there is some minimal curl but mostly a bad beachy mess. I think if I leave them on for 15 minutes and then try to do my hair, they could work. I think it depends on how much of a burn I can take from the edges, which are not supposed to be hot. I'll give them another try; maybe I'll get better at it and update this review. But, ultimately they will probably be going back.

I have owned these rollers for at least 6 years. I recently bought a second set for my other house. I had bought a different brand to test it out and I returned them and went back to my Conair rollers. Highly recommend for wavy, beach curl waves or simply a loose curl!

Heats up fast. It was able for me to set my hair, and, not get burnt. Clips held in curlers, securely. I bought because other hair drying tools, broke off my hair.
